Who this policy covers

This policy applies to plugtechelectronics.com, the website of Plugtech Electronics, operating from New Al-Noor Exhibition, 3rd Floor D4, Accra Road and Taveta Road Junction, Nairobi, Kenya.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email instead of through this website, that conversation is covered by the terms of the service you used as well as by our own handling described below.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. Through the forms on this site that can include:

• Your name.
• Your phone number.
• Your email address, if you supply one.
• The device you are asking about, its storage tier and its condition.
• A description of a fault, or any notes you add.

We also record the browser user agent string attached to a submission, which helps us spot automated spam. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, identity document numbers, PINs, passwords, Apple ID credentials or full payment card details through this website.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry. A phone number lets us reply, a device name lets us quote the right thing, and a fault description lets us tell you whether a repair is realistic. We do not sell your information, rent it, or pass it to advertisers.

Where it goes

Submissions are stored on the server that runs this website and, where email delivery is configured, sent to Plugtechkenya@gmail.com. Access is limited to people at Plugtech who handle enquiries.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept only as long as they are useful for serving you and for our own records of the transaction. If you want your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will remove it.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses as little as it can get away with.

• Session cookie (plugtech_session). Strictly necessary. It keeps your form submission secure by tying the anti forgery token to your browser. It expires when you close the browser.
• Consent preference. Stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to our server. It records whether you chose "Accept all" or "Necessary only" so the banner does not reappear on every page.
• Analytics. Only loaded if analytics has been configured by Plugtech and you chose "Accept all". If you choose "Necessary only", no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will bring the consent banner back.

Third parties

This website does not load fonts, scripts or images from third party servers. Everything it needs is served from its own domain.

Links that open WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook take you to services operated by other companies, and their own privacy policies apply once you are there. The same is true of a maps link.

Security

Traffic is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are protected against cross site request forgery, validated on the server, and escaped before anything is displayed. A strict content security policy limits what the browser is allowed to load. No system is perfect, but we do not cut corners here.

Your choices

• Ask us what enquiry information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Withdraw your consent to being contacted about an enquiry.

Children

This website is aimed at people buying and servicing devices, not at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy
